Problem Note 51881: The MAPIMPORT procedure might produce "Out of memory" errors or cause your SAS® session to stop responding

The following error messages might occur or your SAS® session might stop responding when you use the MAPIMPORT procedure to import an Esri shapefile:
ERROR: Out of memory detected in PROC MAPIMPORT. ERROR: Unknown error encountered while processing .shp file. NOTE: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of errors.
There is currently no circumvention for this problem.
